Kong introduces load balancing concept ZeroLB
of individual services and applications . In this capacity , ZeroLB eliminates the need for elastic cloud load balancers , software load balancers and hardware load balancers from the equation .
Martin Casado , Co-founder , Nicira , said : “ ZeroLB is a fundamental concept to adopt in a decentralised world .”
Marco Palladino , CTO and Co-founder , Kong , added : “ Traditional load balancers were built for the monolithic era and don ’ t work well with today ’ s cloud-native applications because they are slow and create points of failure that cause businesses to lose customers and sales .
“ I ’ m thrilled to be spearheading this effort at Kong to evangelise the ZeroLB movement , where legacy load balancing as we know it within the network is dead .
“ Kong is introducing a new way of building load balancers for today ’ s modern era of software architectures by decentralising it .”
Kong has unveiled a new concept called ZeroLB and a breakthrough pattern for load balancing .
ZeroLB is a modern , decentralized load balancing pattern that aims to remove every load balancer that is being deployed in front
ZeroLB reduces costs , improves network performance by removing extra hops in the network , removes complexity in applications and gives access to more advanced self-healing capabilities , while simultaneously maximizing portability across every environment and every cloud .
Tanium expands cloud-based endpoint management platform to new countries
Tanium has announced that its cloudbased endpoint visibility and control solution , Tanium-as-a-Service ( TaaS ), is now available via local data centers in Canada , the UK , Brazil and Australia to support customers .
By delivering TaaS via local data centers , Tanium is able to provide customers in these regions with enhanced TaaS performance , better support for their compliance programs and high-fidelity endpoint data to inform their critical IT decisions .
Additionally , TaaS has recently become available on the AWS Marketplace , which makes it the first endpoint management tool to be delivered on the platform . This allows AWS customers of all sizes to access the full range of TaaS capabilities , such as incident response and the remote delivery of fixes or patches to vulnerable devices .
These announcements come as many organizations are stepping up their support for a remote or hybrid workforce which demands the kind of increased business agility that can be provided by clouddelivered , as-a-service solutions .
TaaS leverages Tanium ’ s patented architecture . It allows customers of all sizes to perform important IT operations , risk and security tasks with zero infrastructure and therefore no infrastructure related overheads .
The platform offers organizations a high level of scalability and visibility as their number of endpoints grows .
