CIO magazine for the North America region . This month ’ s cover features John Bartho , CIO at Hyster-Yale Group .
He tells us how Hyster-Yale , a global manufacturer of lift trucks , has deployed an open-source digital process automation platform from Evoke Technologies for faster critical process delivery and easier manageability .
“ Evoke Technologies with its vast experience in implementing Bonita solutions was able to customize the Bonita platform as per our engineering process needs ,” he says . “ The Bonita platform with its opensource technology allowed us to customize the dashboards to different process stakeholders .”
Ray Carsey , Network Manager , Infoblox , said : “ In spite of all of the demands , we ’ ve been even more productive and haven ’ t missed a beat . People are happier when things are working correctly , and it affords us more time for higher-level tasks like hardening our security , improving traffic management and getting more insights from our reporting .” There ’ s much more to discover about this story on p61 .
In this month ’ s CIO Opinion , Tim Minahan , Chief Marketing Officer , Citrix , tells us gains in workplace productivity are in danger of being wiped out and urges companies to rethink the role of technology and how they apply it across their organizations . “ People are working the same or more hours , but they ’ re accomplishing less because technology is getting in their way ,” he says .
He added : “ The Bonita platform with its robust workflow engine allowed automation of complex multi-level approval processes .” You can find out more details about the project by turning to p56 .
Elsewhere , we take a look at how the University of Utah Hospital has improved its Infoblox network infrastructure , ensuring productivity and reliability among staff and better patient-centered care .
This has enabled IT staff to deliver a reliable platform for patient care and be able to focus on higher value security and reporting initiatives knowing that core network services were stable and reliable .
“ Hybrid work is the way of the future , and companies that understand the risks inherent in the model and carefully plan their transitions can avoid the pitfalls and foster inclusive environments .” For more of his opinions turn to p44 .
