REV Group names Sagar Murthy as CIO

ME and Group CIO . He has held positions as Vice President and GM for Jason Group India , responsible for the business operations in India and adjacent markets .
Murthy spent the majority of his career with Actuant Corporation in a series of progressive leadership roles , concluding as Group CIO , where he built and led a culturally diverse team of technology professionals supporting Actuant ’ s diversified industrial manufacturing operations across the globe .

Murthy has joined its executive leadership team as SVP , CIO .
Murthy will assume the role of current CIO Peter Panagis , who is retiring . Reporting to Rod Rushing , President and CEO of REV Group , Murthy will oversee Digital
Transformation , IT strategy , application / infrastructure operations and business value creation across 20 manufacturing facilities employing over 7,000 employees in the US .
Murthy previously served at Jason Group as Senior Vice President and GM APAC and
“ Sagar brings a proven track record as a hands-on , transformational leader adept at building , scaling and deploying industryleading digital technologies that deliver growth and improve operational excellence ,” said Rod Rushing , President and CEO , REV Group .
“ He will work closely with Peter as we execute this planned transition . I would like to thank Peter for his contributions to REV Group over the past five years and wish him well in his retirement .”

Lumen invests in its sixth on-net subsea route across the Atlantic

One year after Lumen Technologies established a new subsea fiber route between the US and France , the company is again significantly increasing network capacity and diversity .

Lumen is investing in a fiber pair on Grace Hopper , a subsea cable system spearheaded by Google , between New York and Bude , Cornwall , in the UK . The Grace Hopper system will use Lumen landing station and infrastructure services at both locations .
“ Data flow and capacity demands don ’ t know boundaries ,” said Laurinda Pang , Lumen President of Global Customer Success . “ The bandwidth explosion across continents is real and we ’ re meeting it head-on by investing in new subsea cables . The Grace Hopper system is part of Lumen and Google ’ s long history of collaboration .
“ Together , we ’ re building communications infrastructures for secure and reliable delivery of digital enterprise and consumer services around the world . We are pleased to be using our landing stations at these locations and excited to add another endto-end intercontinental connection to the Lumen network – one of the most deeply peered networks in the world .”
According to the US Chamber of Commerce , data flows are the lifeblood of the US-Europe trade and investment partnership , with more data flowing between the two continents than anywhere else in the world .
