AVEVA study finds eight out of 10 industrial multinationals make key decisions without vital data

with a minimum annual revenue of US $ 50M in the chemicals , manufacturing and power industries across North America , Europe and the Middle East .
With no end in sight to global business disruptions , 87 % of executives plan to increase their organization ’ s investment in industrial digital solutions over the 12 months , given the need for the type of connected data that can drive decisions needed to address growing combined challenges of economic uncertainty , unstable geo-political environments , historic labor shortages and disrupted supply chains .

AVEVA , a global leader in industrial software , has announced the results of a global study which found that more than eight in 10 top executives say key business decisions are being made without

full data visibility and insights from their plants and assets .
The study , Connecting the Future , was released in partnership with Wakefield Research and polled 650 executives at global companies
Industrial leaders across key industries such as oil and gas , energy , manufacturing , utilities and transportation , also understand the need to leverage digital solutions now more than ever . The greatest investments to tackle supply chain complexities are in analytics and AI , Industrial IoT , cloud computing and Edge Computing solutions in the next 12 months .

Metro Edge Development Partners announces team to design , build and operate data center in Illinois

Metro Edge Development Partners , a commercial real estate development firm and Minority Business Enterprise ( MBE ), announced it has finalized agreements with Corgan , Clune Construction , Power Construction and Ujamaa Construction to design and build its state-of-the-art data center in the Illinois Medical District ( IMD ).

They join T5 Data Centers as the team that will design , construct and operate the data center .
“ Metro Edge was founded as a firm focused on high-impact , technology-driven developments that have a positive impact on the market and the local community ,” said Bradley Beile , COO of Metro Edge .
“ We are thrilled to have best-in-class partners like Corgan , Clune , Power and Ujamaa working with us to design and construct this facility . It is a testament to not only their belief in this project , but also the importance of the development and the positive impact it will have on the West Side .”
The US $ 257 million data center is expected to break ground in 2023 and open in 2024 . Metro Edge has announced the company secured a 75-year ground lease on a 1.97- acre parcel in the IMD to build and operate a 19.8 Megawatt , five-story , 184,720 sq ft highperformance data center that will address the technology infrastructure needs of local and regional healthcare , financial , educational and government organizations .
