Cloud security trailblazer Mukesh Gupta joins Infoblox

Reporting to CEO Scott Harrell , Gupta will develop and drive Infoblox ’ s product vision and strategy .
A seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience leading product management , engineering and go-to-market strategies , Gupta joins Infoblox from Palo Alto Networks where he helped grow the company into a multi-billion-dollar leader in network security . Prior to Palo Alto Networks , Gupta held senior product leadership roles at Illumio and Juniper Networks .

Cybersecurity labelling program a ‘ crucial step ’

DigiCert says the FCC ’ s proposed cybersecurity labeling program is a ‘ crucial step ’. towards enhancing the security and trustworthiness of connected devices .

The FCC has proposed a voluntary cybersecurity labeling program , the US Cyber Trust Mark , to provide consumers with clear information about the security of their Internet-enabled or IoT devices .
In describing the program as a crucial step , DigiCert stresses the need for industry and government to work together to ensure that the right cybersecurity requirements can be measured and enforced before a manufacturer receives a label of approval .
“ The next few months will be really important in assuring that items such as strong measures for ensuring device authentication beyond passwords are put in place . Similarly , the FCC needs to make sure that device manufacturers can be held accountable for using best practices for encrypting data , signing firmware and ensuring secure over the air updates of devices ,” said Tom Klein , Senior Director , IoT Business Development , DigiCert .
