Thales has announced the SafeNet
IDPrime FIDO Bio Smart Card – a security key that enables strong multi-factor authentication ( MFA ) for the enterprise .
This new contactless smart card allows users to access enterprise devices , applications and cloud services using a fingerprint instead of a password .
The smart cards also support contactless capabilities , allowing users to simply tap the card on any device supporting NFC .

PagerDuty appoints ‘ industry veteran ’ as CIO
Industry Veteran Eric Johnson is to lead Information Technology and CIO Community Engagement with PagerDuty .
With extensive leadership experience in growing and leading global IT organizations , Johnson will oversee PagerDuty ’ s critical IT infrastructure , data management and enterprise systems .

Johnson joins PagerDuty from SurveyMonkey where he served as CIO for the past four years . Previous to this , Johnson served as CIO and Senior Vice President at both DocuSign and Talend .
He spent 12 years at Informatica driving the vision and strategy for global offshore support and delivery and architecting the support required for the company ’ s migration to a SaaS platform .
