Crosslake Fibre expands network services with new PoP at Cologix Montréal data centre

unique cross-lake submarine cable connecting essential financial and technology markets in Toronto , New York and Chicago .
The addition of the Montréal location now extends access to Crosslake ’ s global financial network Velocity and general network services , enhancing connectivity options for Cologix customers and reinforcing Crosslake ’ s position as a leader in international network services .

Cologix has expanded its partnership with Crosslake Fibre , an international Network Service Provider ( NSP ) and developer of long haul fibre routes .

The latest advancement includes the launch of a new Point-of- Presence ( PoP ) at Cologix ’ s MTL3 digital Edge data centre in Montréal driven by the increasing customer demand for Crosslake ’ s services .
This significant development builds upon Crosslake Fibre ’ s existing partnership with Cologix in Toronto , where the company operates a
Cologix has a robust Canadian interconnection ecosystem of 350 networks , 200 + cloud providers , 15 public cloud onramps and three Internet Exchanges ( IX ). Currently , Cologix provides 75 % of all public cloud onramps in Canada , including Amazon Web Services Direct Connect , Google Cloud Interconnect , IBM Cloud , Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute and Oracle FastConnect .

Wendy ’ s names Matt Spessard as CIO

Matt Spessard is the new CIO to The Wendy ’ s Company , succeeding Kevin Vasconi who has served as CIO since October 2020 . As CIO , Spessard will assume responsibility for all aspects of Wendy ’ s global technology efforts , including Restaurant Technology , Data Management and Analytics , Enterprise Technology , Software Architecture and Engineering and Information Security .

Prior to that , he spent six years with Inspire Brands . He served in several roles of increasing accountability , including Vice President of Technology at SONIC .
Spessard joined Wendy ’ s in May 2020 as Vice President , Restaurant Technology and assumed the expanded role of Vice President , Digital and Restaurant Technology in September 2020 .
He also previously held various operations and technology leadership roles at YUM ! Brands , Church ’ s Chicken and Braum ’ s Ice Cream & Dairy Stores . p
