OpenAI has confirmed it is testing a new search engine that uses Gen AI .
SearchGPT is planned to launch with a small group of users before a potential wider rollout . The search features will be incorporated into ChatGPT as opposed to a standalone product .
Artificial Intelligence Risk ( AI Risk , Inc .) has been recognised as the Best Cyber Security Provider by WatersTechnology ’ s 2024 Waters Rankings Awards .
The acknowledgement is said to underscore the company ’ s ‘ rapid and exceptional ’ impact on the industry .
Partnering with publishers to build the product and seek their feedback , OpenAI said SearchGPT is a ‘ temporary prototype ’ combining the company ’ s AI models with the ability to search the internet and respond conversationally to searches .
A company statement said : “ In addition to launching the SearchGPT prototype , we are also launching a way for publishers to manage how they appear in SearchGPT , so publishers have more choices .
“ Importantly , SearchGPT is about search and is separate from training OpenAI ’ s generative AI foundation models . Sites can be surfaced in search results even if they opt out of generative AI training .”
