Tempo launches drop fiber repair kit

Drop fiber repair kit saves time and money by simplifying fiber optic cable repairs .

Tempo Communications has

announced the launch of a Drop
Fiber Repair Kit ( DFR100 ), which conveniently and cost-effectively allows the fiber technician to repair and protect fiber optic cables .
The IP68-rated DFR100 houses and protects up to 12 fusion splices and two mechanical splices in a secure plastic casing that can be buried or mounted for future rework . The DFR100 joins Tempo ’ s comprehensive fiber solutions which are designed for technicians who demand performance and efficiency .
Tempo ’ s new DFR100 supports common fiber sizes of 8.1mm , 5.4mm , and 5.1mm rectangular cables and 5.1mm round cables with provided individual sealing gaskets .
The plastic casing can be easily assembled with common tools and the IP68 rating ensures that the enclosed splices will be safe from dirt , moisture and the elements .
