Vantage Data Centers and Digital Colony collaborate for US $ 1.25 billion capital raise

Vantage Data Centers , a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses , has announced it has raised US $ 1.25 billion in incremental equity capital from its existing investors , led by Digital Colony . This funding will be used to fuel ongoing expansion and development across North America and Europe .

Vantage has continued its strong trajectory in the second half of 2020 by reaching new milestones around funding and development .
The company recently opened its flagship European campus in Frankfurt , Germany , with the completion of the first phase of what will be a three-building campus delivering 55MW of critical IT capacity once fully developed .

Chesterfield County Public Schools leverages digital workspace solutions from Citrix

Chesterfield County Public Schools in Virginia is leveraging digital workspace solutions from Citrix Systems to keep STEM labs running and students learning .

The district is providing more than 5,000 students enrolled in its Career and Technical Education ( CTE ) programs with secure and reliable access to the systems and software they need to excel while learning remotely .
Brian Jones , Executive Director of Technology Services , CCPS , said : “ Meeting the needs of all students during the pandemic required Chesterfield Schools to identify a solution to extend specialized computer-based learning to the home environment . Waiting until students could return to their CTE labs was not an option .”
Like the more than 400,000 companies around the world using Citrix digital workspace solutions to power the flexible work models that COVID-19 demands , the district chose to implement Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service and Citrix Remote PC Access to deliver a familiar virtual desktop from which CTE students can safely access all the resources they need to learn and a high-performance experience that enables them to excel from home . This was achieved in under two weeks .
