Toptana Technologies and Assured Communications announce pivotal new East – West fibre route in the Pacific Northwest

Toptana Technologies has announced the next phase of its regional network build with the development of a dedicated East – West fibre route in collaboration with MOX Networks and Assured Communications.

This project will establish a dedicated fibre route connecting Toptana’ s Cable Landing Station( CLS) in Ocean Shores, Washington, to major connectivity corridors in Seattle, Washington, and Hillsboro, Oregon.
The route extends the previously completed North – South fibre route, constructed in partnership with MOX Networks, which runs from Seattle to Portland and Hillsboro. Together, these routes broaden the network’ s reach and enhance infrastructure resiliency across the Pacific Northwest. a critical interconnection point for subsea cables, offering essential route diversity and positioning Ocean Shores as a strategic hub for digital infrastructure expansion.
Assured Communications is managing the project on behalf of Toptana, overseeing all aspects from feasibility and design through to engineering, construction and go-to-market execution.
In addition to leading development of the CLS and fibre backhaul infrastructure, Assured is leveraging its expertise in delivering turnkey, mission-critical infrastructure facilities to ensure the project meets the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Toptana, MOX and Assured are delivering scalable, high-capacity backhaul to meet growing demand for cloud, AI and Edge Computing.
Located on the Olympic Peninsula, Toptana’ s CLS is the first to be built in Washington State in over 25 years. The site is set to become

Sabey Data Centers breaks ground on final phase of Ashburn campus expansion accommodate high-density deployments exceeding 100 kilowatts per rack, reinforcing Sabey’ s commitment to delivering scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of enterprise and hyperscale clients.

Sabey Data Centers, a leading data centre developer, owner and operator, has announced the start of construction on Building A, the third and final facility on its highly connected Ashburn campus. Located in Loudoun County’ s renowned‘ Data Center Alley’, this expansion will initially deliver 18 megawatts of leasable power capacity, with a further 36 megawatts planned for future delivery.

Once complete, it will become the first three-storey data centre in the Sabey portfolio, offering a total of 54 megawatts of power capacity.
With an expected Ready for Service date in 2026, Ashburn A is engineered to support a variety of cooling configurations, including air-cooled, liquid-cooled or hybrid environments. It is designed to
“ Starting construction on Building A marks a significant milestone for Sabey Data Centers as we continue to expand our presence in Northern Virginia,” said Tim Mirick, President of Sabey Data Centers.“ This development will create significant additional capacity and room for our customers to efficiently and sustainably scale.”
Sabey’ s Ashburn campus spans 38 acres and, upon full build-out, will provide a total campus capacity of 85 MW. The entire facility is designed with energy efficiency in mind, with current buildings averaging an annualised Power Usage Effectiveness( PUE) of 1.35, helping reduce both emissions and total cost of ownership.
