Meta Data Center represents US $ 1 billion investment in Missouri
Meta has announced that its Kansas City Data Center is now serving traffic, officially joining the company’ s global infrastructure that powers its technologies and services for billions of people worldwide.
Meta has been part of the Kansas City community since breaking ground on the facility in 2022.
“ In 2022, we selected Kansas City because it offered excellent infrastructure, a robust electrical grid, a strong pool of talent for construction and operations jobs, and incredible community partners,” said Brad Davis, Data Center Community and Economic Development Director at Meta.

Our thanks go to the State of Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri Partnership, Kansas City Area Development Council, Evergy, Missouri Department of Economic Development, Turner Construction – Kansas City, and the rest of our amazing partners who have helped get us to this important milestone.”
Construction of the Kansas City Data Center brought an average of 1,500 skilled trade workers on-site at peak. Once fully operational, the facility will support more than 100 permanent jobs. The project represents an investment of more than US $ 1 billion in Missouri.
AVAIO Digital to build US $ 6 Billion AI-Ready Data Center Hub in Mississippi
AVAIO Digital has announced plans for a major new data center hub in Rankin County, Mississippi, that will support the state’ s growing tech sector.
The US $ 6 billion investment, made over the course of the project, is expected to generate significant economic benefits and create workforce opportunities across Greater Jackson, from construction through long-term operations.
The company is developing a 175 – acre site in the City of Brandon to host the AVAIO Digital Taurus campus, which will house server, networking and data storage technologies that underpin cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence applications.

Construction of the first phase, totaling more than 600,000 square feet of data center buildings and 116 MW of power, is expected to complete in the first half of 2027. The campus will feature sustainable architecture in a landscaped setting, with water-efficient cooling, rainwater recapture, rooftop solar and system economization to minimize energy use.
