PROJECT ROUND-UP

CALIFORNIA PENNSYLVANIA
Hub. xyz, a distributed data infrastructure platform that taps into idle internet connections to deliver real-time data streams for AI systems, has announced the opening of its new US headquarters in Palo Alto, California. The move marks a major milestone in the company’ s global expansion and its mission to scale AI infrastructure while deepening partnerships with startups and enterprises across the Bay Area.
Spinnaker Support is providing Pennsylvania’ s Delaware County with comprehensive SAP continuity and maintenance support as the County transitions to a new Workday ERP solution. The agreement ensures that Delaware County can seamlessly maintain, operate and support its critical SAP ERP functions during the migration period, preventing disruption to essential public services.
As AI adoption accelerates, organizations face rising challenges around data quality, freshness, and cost. Hub. xyz offers a novel approach: a globally distributed‘ supernetwork’ that upcycles unused bandwidth to provide AI companies with richer, more diverse, and cost-efficient data streams. By enabling communitydriven access to real-time, multimodal data, Hub. xyz is positioning itself at the center of the next wave of AI innovation.
“ Establishing our headquarters in Palo Alto brings us closer to our startup and enterprise partners,” said Tim Sprecher, Co-Founder of Hub. xyz.“ The Bay Area is at the forefront of AI and with surging demand for real-time data, it’ s natural for Hub to be here as we build the next generation of AI infrastructure.”
The expansion follows a period of strong momentum, including a major investment round led by SwissBorg and participation from Tier-1 investors and tech executives. Industry veteran Jeff Kanai, formerly of Google and Bright Data, joins as Head of Sales to drive U. S. growth.
With its new base in Silicon Valley, Hub. xyz aims to accelerate partnerships and redefine how AI systems source and stream the world’ s data.
Following its decision to move from SAP to Workday, Delaware County recognized the need to keep its legacy end-of-life SAP EP5 system fully operational while the new Workday implementation is developed, tested, and deployed. With extensive expertise in enterprise software and third-party maintenance, Spinnaker Support is delivering the technical knowledge, stability, and confidence required to manage this complex transition. Their support provides valuable“ breathing space,” enabling the County to execute its ERP modernization plan at a manageable pace with reduced risk and greater cost efficiency.
David McDougall, Chief Revenue Officer at Spinnaker Support, said:“ Spinnaker bridges the software vendor maintenance conundrum many organizations face. With a passion for relationship-based services, we help clients maintain or transition their systems at their own pace – often realizing significant savings. Delaware County is a prime example of this approach, and we’ re proud to welcome them to our growing customer community.”
John Becht, CIO of the Delaware County IT Department, said:“ Spinnaker is enabling us to transition from SAP to Workday with confidence and clarity. Their support removes the complexity and pressure of software vendor maintenance cycles.”
