Editor’ s Note
Welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent CIO North America.
This month we lead with Silicon Labs selecting Rimini Street as its strategic partner to maximise the value of its SAP ECC 6.0 investment.
The collaboration provides the US-based semiconductor manufacturer with longterm SAP maintenance and professional services, enabling modernisation without costly upgrades or operational disruption.
Silicon Labs first engaged Rimini Street’ s professional services arm, Rimini Consult, to develop a strategic ERP roadmap. This led to a multi-system project aligning twelve SAP environments with modern operating system and database standards. The initiative reduced technical debt, improved platform stability, strengthened security and compliance and enabled faster, real-time reporting to support executive decision-making.
On p14, Radhika Chennakeshavula, CIO and Vice President, says Rimini Street not only delivered outstanding results for the SAP project, but also took it live ahead of schedule.

Lenovo has expanded a multiyear collaboration with NVIDIA aimed at transforming the global sports industry through the deployment of productionscale artificial intelligence.
This partnership focuses on helping sports organisations convert vast volumes of live data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, strengthen operational resilience and enable real-time decision-making across some of the most complex environments in the world.
On p24, we outline how the collaboration reflects a shared vision: to move beyond experimental AI pilots and deliver fully integrated, enterprise-grade solutions capable of operating under the intense demands of global sports.
After decades of theory, quantum computing is moving toward real-world utility, with breakthroughs in error correction bringing both commercial opportunity and urgent cybersecurity risks closer to reality.
On p35, we outline Forrester’ s new report, The State of Quantum Computing, 2026, revealing that the timeline to quantum utility and‘ Q-Day’ has accelerated significantly.
Talking Point on p18 features Gastón Milano, CTO, Globant Enterprise, on the risks of over-humanising AI in enterprise.
That’ s just a sample of what’ s inside – enjoy the read.
