Avoca, powering service businesses across the US, has raised more than US $ 125 million across Seed, Series A and Series B funding at a US $ 1 billion valuation – signalling strong momentum for AI in the services economy.

While many AI tools focus on desk work such as email, documents and presentations, the front office of the trillion-dollar services economy has lacked tailored solutions. Avoca aims to change that by powering round the clock call handling, scheduling, marketing and customer follow ups.

Investors say Avoca has defined a new category. Meritech’ s Alex Clayton stated that the company created AI voice for home services. General Catalyst’ s Vedant Suri described it as an AI workforce for essential businesses.
