Salesforce secures US $ 1.6 billion VA contract to transform veteran care and services
The US Department of Veterans Affairs( VA) has awarded Salesforce, through its distribution network, a US $ 1.6 billion, three-year Agentic Enterprise License Agreement( AELA) to modernise care and service delivery for America’ s Veterans.
Through the agreement, VA will leverage Missionforce to provide more timely, consistent and connected experiences while reducing administrative burdens across the department. Building on a relationship spanning more than a decade, the agreement is designed to turn enterprise scale into front-line impact. Salesforce will provide a unified foundation, equipping VA employees with trusted agentic AI, integrated data and advanced collaboration tools.
Missionforce will help connect workflows and systems while deploying FedRAMP High-authorised and HIPAAready AI agents to improve access, outcomes and accountability across Veteran-facing programmes.

Slack, already deployed across more than 150 VA medical and outpatient centres, will continue supporting collaboration and patient scheduling initiatives. Salesforce will also enhance Veteran communications, provider engagement and workflow coordination, helping reduce appointment scheduling times.

VA provides healthcare, benefits and other essential services to more than 17 million Veterans, their families and caregivers. Across 170 VA medical centres and more than 1,100 Veterans Health Administration outpatient clinics, the department delivered more than 82 million directcare appointments in 2025. The agreement expands Salesforce deployments across three areas. Agentforce Public Sector and Agentforce Health will support 24 / 7 virtual contact centres for patient triage, intake and care coordination, while AI agents will automate each Veteran. Tableau will transform this information into operational insights through reporting dashboards and performance analytics.
The agreement builds on existing Salesforce deployments supporting the Veteran Crisis Line, VA Health Connect, the VHA agentic operating system and the SQUARES platform, helping improve crisis response, clinical contact services, staff collaboration and Veteran eligibility access nationwide. •
