EY expands on-site quantum computing to shape the next frontier of enterprise technology transformation
EY has expanded its global quantum computing capabilities with the addition of an on-site quantum computer led by EY Canada – as part of a global investment of more than US $ 3 billion in AI and next frontier technologies.
The initiative strengthens the company’ s in-house quantum capability, positioning EY Canada as a key innovation hub while supporting the convergence of quantum computing and AI to unlock new competitive advantages, economic value and societal impact for organizations worldwide.
The investment marks the next chapter of ey. ai The Reimagination Engine, EY’ s AI-led technology system, and reflects the growing importance of quantum readiness for enterprises preparing for the future of Digital Transformation. The new quantum capabilities will enable the processing of highly sensitive workloads in areas including optimisation, fraud detection, data protection and largescale risk management.
According to EY, the investment provides dedicated access to quantum infrastructure and greater control over application development, including where sensitive data resides and how it is managed. The organization believes this technical foundation is essential as businesses prepare for the next generation of enterprise computing. By combining AI with exponentially greater computing power, organizations will be able to develop new approaches to forecasting, optimisation and decision intelligence while unlocking greater business value.
The enhanced infrastructure will also improve the testing, refinement and validation of quantum-enabled solutions. This will allow clients to move beyond experimentation and gain practical experience of how quantum technologies can address complex business challenges.
