Through the multi-year agreement, DXC will manage shipboard, shoreside and portside systems with services spanning IT operations, cybersecurity, automation and workplace support.
Kenny says the collaboration strengthens Carnival’ s technology foundation, enabling smoother coordination across its 29 ships and shoreside teams.
DXC President Chris Drumgoole adds that the goal is to minimize disruptions and deliver complete operational confidence for Carnival’ s workforce and guests.
Looking ahead, both companies see opportunities in Edge Computing, automation and sustainability, laying the groundwork for smarter, more personalized guest experiences. code better than most humans. Conducted by Clutch, the study shows that 75 % of respondents expect AI to significantly transform the software industry within the next five years.
Nearly half of developers said they use AI tools daily, with another 29 % using them most days, underscoring how deeply AI has become embedded in workflows. While many see AI as a powerful productivity booster, concerns persist about its impact on jobs, data privacy and the long-term role of human expertise.
The findings highlight both the rapid adoption of AI in software development and the challenges it poses for the industry’ s future.
